About the Facility

The Santa Maria Transfer Station is a fully permitted 500-ton per day (maximum) facility that accepts non-hazardous solid waste. The facility serves the waste disposal needs of the Santa Maria Valley as well as Southern San Luis Obispo County. Our customer base includes franchised refuse haulers offering curbside service to local municipalities, local contractors with self-hauled waste, roll-off construction/demolition haulers, as well as the general public. Waste is deposited by our customers onto a concrete floor, then reloaded by our staff into large trailers for transport to our landfill.
