The site is open to the public Monday through Saturday, except for the seven major holidays (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, day after Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.)

The Santa Maria Transfer Station is located at 325 Cuyama Lane in Nipomo, California, just north of the City of Santa Maria and the Santa Maria River in the County of San Luis Obispo, west of Highway 101 at the Highway 166 exit.
